The EU CAP Network website now has a dedicated area on LEADER and community-led local development (CLLD). These newly established pages serve as a central hub for all LEADER stakeholders.

The EU CAP Network website now has a dedicated area on LEADER and community-led local development (CLLD). With the Local Action Groups (LAGs) in most Member States now approved, the focus for the EU CAP Network is to provide information and support for Managing Authorities, National Networks and LAGs to help them set up their partnerships, start implementing their local development strategies and continue to network and cooperate.
These newly established pages serve as a central hub for all LEADER stakeholders. They offer resources including:
- Stay updated on the latest LEADER developments and upcoming. events, providing a platform for knowledge sharing and networking opportunities.
- Delve into the history of LEADER and explore its seven principles at the heart of this community-driven approach.
- Access a comprehensive collection of the European legislation relevant to LEADER/CLLD, conveniently gathered in one place.
- Explore more than 400 LEADER case studies and good practice projects. The examples from 26 Member States span the 2014-2022 period, offering inspiration and ideas.
- Browse through nearly 200 publications covering various aspects of LEADER, including event reports, policy insights, project brochures and evaluation resources.
LEADER Tools: This section is under development, but will include:
- A LAG directory that will provide contact details and information on key priority themes for all approved LAGs across Europe. This is expected to be available in summer 2024.
- A partner search tool to facilitate communication, networking and transnational cooperation among LAGs.
- A forthcoming resource based on the European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) toolkit, tailored to address current needs and challenges, with the aim of ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
The website’s new LEADER section is a dynamic work in progress, with ongoing efforts to expand and update its content regularly. The EU CAP Network welcomes suggestions and feedback and encourages active engagement from LEADER stakeholders to shape the evolution of this vital resource for LAGs.
As the LEADER section continues to evolve, stakeholders are encouraged to stay tuned for updates and enhancements.
