The synthesis is carried out within the framework of the Emilia Romagna region's independent evaluation service for the 2014-2020 RDP.
It provides a summary of the key findings from the 2014-2020 IER for each Priority and Focus Area of the RDP, using non-technical language to be more accessible to the wider public.
The methodological approach used is both qualitative and quantitative, with interviews, surveys and statistical elaboration of monitoring data. The sources of the data are the RDP beneficiaries.
The evaluation of the interventions financed by the Emilia-Romagna RDP by the end of 2020 shows excellent results and good prospects.
Thanks to incentives, regional actors have participated heavily in the RDP. Many young people are approaching agriculture and contributing decisively to generational renewal. Farmers’ tendency to invest was higher than in the past programming period and highlights an active entrepreneurial fabric capable of achieving important results in management renewal and competitiveness growth.
Furthermore, RDP interventions supporting the environment and climate affect one-third of the regional utilised agriculture area (UAA) and address relevant issues such as safeguarding biodiversity and water resources, reducing greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions, and mitigating climate change.
