The EU CAP Network Brokerage event ‘Accelerating the innovation process through Horizon Europe multi-actor projects' took place in Antwerp, Belgium from Thursday 19 to Friday 20 October 2023.

Description

This event was dedicated to matchmaking and networking to support the preparation of high-quality proposals for the upcoming Horizon Europe calls with multi-actor approach in the fields of agriculture, forestry and rural areas.

This brokerage event focused on multi-actor approach topics related to agriculture, forestry and rural areas under the Horizon Europe Cluster 6 “Food, bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture and environment” 2024 calls.

The breakout sessions on the first day focused on the following calls:

  1. Biodiversity-rich farming systems  
  2. Organic farming   
  3.  Forestry  
  4. Livestock systems  
  5. Plant health  
  6.  Climate action: water & paludiculture   
  7. Rural communities  
  8. Digital & data technologies: robotics & augmented reality  
  9. Bottom-up AKIS  

The calls include the following multi-actor approach topics:

Specific objectives

The EU CAP Network brokerage event provided participants with the opportunity to:

  • Network by creating an exchange forum for interactions, fostering connections and collaborations among participants from different sectors and backgrounds.     
  • Exchange experiences, best practices and insights on preparing high-quality project proposals with an effective multi-actor approach through presentations and interactive breakout sessions.     
  • Share project ideas, identify potential partners for a consortium applying to the Horizon Europe calls for proposals requiring multi-actor approach.

Participants included researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, advisors, practitioners, in particular farmers and foresters, Horizon National Contact Points, and other experts from various agricultural sectors
