EIP-AGRI Challenge

Franz Rauscher runs a family pig farm in Austria, combining arable farming with livestock production. To stay competitive and ensure the next generation can continue farming, he is part of a programme that improves animal welfare as a way to differentiate products on the market. From straw bedding to open water points, the farm adapts its housing to make conditions more comfortable for pigs.
