The Thematic Group (TG) on Nurturing Skills for a Thriving and Sustainable Agricultural Sector aimed to explore needs and opportunities related to agricultural skills development and their updating, with a focus on the agricultural workforce and on the (new) skills needed to strengthen farmers in the food-supply chain.
Aims of the meeting:
- Reviewing key insights from the activities gathered from the activities of the TG to date.
- Sharing best practices collected in the course of the TG.
- Exploring how the implementation of the CAP Strategic Plans and potentially other policies and tools can foster skills development in agriculture through the elaboration of action-oriented recommendations.
- Engaging participants in meaningful discussions to identify tools for skills development.
