The activities of the EU CAP Network`s Thematic Group (TG) on Gen Z: Leading Generational Renewal in Farming led to key recommendations to help equip future young farmers with the tools and resources needed to succeed.

The recommendations collected in this document provide a comprehensive framework to help farmers navigate the evolving agricultural landscape while ensuring the sustainability, resilience and renewal of the sector. The main areas concerned are education and skills development, access to land and financial support, sustainable practices, Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) direct payments, the social dimension of farming, access to market and local food systems, and networking.

The document also includes practical examples of initiatives addressing challenges such as farm succession, land access, generational transitions, and sustainable farming practices. These practices, adopted in various Member States, demonstrate the importance of tailored approaches to specific national and regional contexts.
