Our good practice database is now easier to browse: easily find information on CAP implementation, examples of policy design and delivery mechanisms, and plenty of inspiring stories from the field.

Collecting good practices that use Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) funding is a key activity of the EU CAP Network. Sharing information about the projects is a way to inspire other – potential or actual – beneficiaries and to show the impact of the CAP on European agriculture and rural areas. Good practices, which are mainly collected with the help of the National Networks, can be used as examples in our thematic work and shared with a variety of CAP stakeholders through our publications.
To date, the EU CAP Network good practice database includes over 1 300 projects and over 200 will be added every year until 2027. Such numbers can be a little overwhelming, so we have just created a new About good practice examples page to make your search easier.
The new page (accessible from the top menu of the website) clarifies the four main types of ‘good practices’ you can find in the database: examples of CAP implementation (from the current and previous programming periods), case studies in policy design and implementation, and inspirational ideas with a focus on innovation and knowledge exchange. Soon you will also be able to select a filter to see all the finalists of all the ARIA – Agricultural and Rural Inspiration Awards editions since 2019 (this feature is currently under development).
Once you access the type of good practices you are looking for, you can further refine your search using the filters in the website menu, for example searching for specific topics, CAP intervention (or RDP measure), or country. And if you are looking for good practices on specific topics, consider browsing our Projects Brochures, which highlight a small number of projects on current topics such as nurturing agricultural skills, rural women, and carbon farming, as well as the finalists of the latest ARIA awards).
The EU CAP Network website is continuously updated to improve its functionalities and tailor its content to a variety of CAP stakeholders. Make sure you follow us on social media (@EUCAPNetwork) and through the monthly newsletter to be informed as soon as new useful tools and content are available.
