    Summary

The project concerned the expansion of the existing machinery of the company using new technologies, enabling them to process more efficiently the crop production.

New purchased machines included a tractor, a forklift, a pumpkin combine, a pumpkin seeds cleaning machine, a seed drill, a two-row potato harvester, etc. Further renovation and expansion of the production premises were also carried out through the construction of a warehouse and after-harvesting processing area.

    Results

    • Previously, the company could pick and wrap around 7 tons of potatoes per day. With the new machinery they can process more than 15 tons of potatoes per day.
    • Other results include easier handling of goods and commodities; self-sufficiency in seeding and cultivating the soil; higher processing quality of the raw material - pumpkin seeds.
    • The company is trying to get their pumpkin products sold to TESCO, KAUFLAND and BILLA chains as they can offer competitive products of high quality under the regional brand name “Ponitrie”.
