CAP-funded good practice projects

Food, environment and many other topics of interest to rural Europe are featured in the good practice database. Recent examples include a Spanish funding instrument designed to tackle land abandonment and depopulation, which has successfully helped young farmers relocate to the areas covered by the project.

A good practice approach to food waste reduction is highlighted by the Maltese CAP funds in an investment project modernising meat processing facilities. The project has led to a new range of products increasing consumer choice and market reach while at the same time reducing operational costs and food waste.

Other socio-economic and environmental outcomes were achieved by a French LEADER project focused on short-supply chains linking farmers, municipalities, tourism managers, schools and recreation centres. The group of farmers involved with this project also organised marketing campaign activities including wine tasting, games and farm visits.

New projects are added every month. So remember to keep checking the website to find out what's new.
