Summary

A producer of extra virgin olive oil received investment support for the construction of a new production facility on his private property in Aggelona, Lakonia region. The new site has good access to a main road and it is equipped with modern production systems and machinery.

This was key for enabling the producer to meet the growing demand for premium olive oil from the region. The new production unit consists of a standardisation area, storage space, business offices, the production room and the product exhibition area. EAFRD support also enabled the investor to buy machinery and equipment including filter - press plastic plates, volumetric filler, semi-automatic capping unit, semiautomatic labeller, etc. Other purchases included administration equipment such computers, office furniture, fax machines, broadband internet infrastructure, etc.

Results

Thanks to the new facility, the beneficiary is able to respond to the increasing demand for extra virgin olive oil. He now receives more orders and is expanding his network of clients.

The investment brought higher returns for the producer and improved his financial situation.
