Summary
Cyherbia Botanical Park is one of the largest thematic parks in Cyprus. It includes nine organic herb gardens, a woodland shaped like the outline of Cyprus and the Lavender Meditation Labyrinth. Visitors can take a stroll while learning about Cypriot herbs and engage in educational activities designed for families.
The park also features a distillation room, where essential oils are extracted, and a shop. In order to improve the overall visitor experience, the owners used LEADER support provided by the Larnaca and Famagusta District Development Agency to renovate the park, adding a new kitchen, storage room, natural product store and new facilities for the staff.
Results
- LEADER funding helped to improve the quality of the services offered to visitors.
- The investment helped to secure the jobs of the park’s 13 employees.

Context
Cyherbia Botanical Park is probably one of the biggest theme parks in Cyprus. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll while learning about Cypriot herbs and engage in educational activities, including game sheets provided for children. The park features a distillation room, where essential oils are extracted, and nine themed organic herb gardens, the only maze in Cyprus, a woodland shaped like the outline of Cyprus and the Lavender Meditation Labyrinth.
