Join us on 5 November for a Tools4CAP Academy session, where we will explore integrated data and digital tools to support the implementation of the CAP.
This session aims to provide technical stakeholders with assets that enable effective collaboration and communication among technical personnel —within or outside CAP authorities, paying agencies, and other stakeholders involved in the CAP implementation— during the early stages of software solution design and tool development. Linked to the project’s methodological guidelines and technical protocols on data integration, the main objectives of the module are to:
- Identify the main functions and applications of key digital technologies in agriculture, integrating both farm-level and landscape-level data sources.
- Explain the main interoperability challenges and highlight the benefits of using standardised data models and data governance principles, particularly within the context of the EU Data Act and federated data systems.
- Apply a scenario-based approach, using a WP4 user story to analyse real-world data logs and derive meaningful output variables for specific areas. Proposed examples include pesticides, soil health and irrigation and water.
- Interpret technical outputs and variables to support policy management and evidence-based decision-making for CAP interventions.
- Develop more precise technical protocols and terminology, and present the progress of the Greek, Italian, and Spanish case studies.
- Bridge theory and practice by working through a complete data-to-decision workflow based on the guidelines’ user stories.
This module is part of the Tools4CAP Academy, coordinated by the European Association for Innovation in Local Development (AEIDL), in collaboration with all partners. The Academy offers tailored training to support knowledge-sharing, capacity-building, and peer learning adapted to the evolving needs of CAP governance.
Due to the practical nature of the training, participation is by invitation only. However, if you are interested in joining, you may contact Raquel Pastor (rpc@aeidl.eu) to express your interest.
