National Networks are always #ProudOfNetworking

For the second year in a row, the social media campaign #ProudOfNetworking gives a special opportunity to discuss the impact of networking for the CAP, which is often difficult to measure.

The #ProudOfNetworking social media campaign is back! After the success of last summer’s edition, the campaign is running again during July and August 2025 and is showcasing the unique networking activities of each National Network (NN). The campaign gives a special opportunity to discuss the impact of networking, which is often difficult to measure and sometimes goes unnoticed.

The networking activities that are being promoted during the campaign are based on a survey which collects information from the NNs about their activities and is compiled in the yearly Common Network Statistics (CNS) report. The aim of the CNS is to use common data for benchmarking at the EU level, promote EU-wide networking activities, raise awareness of the achievements of NNs, and track progress within each individual NN. While we work on the latest CNS report, based on data related to NN activities in 2024, you can check the report based on 2023 data (and its catchy infographic).

The campaign spotlights a range of activities across Europe, including events, good practice projects, trips to exchange experiences and knowledge, publications and other communication and dissemination activities, and thematic working groups. The diversity of activities shows that networking happens in many different ways, but all activities foster interaction among rural stakeholders, connect individuals, build relationships, inform about CAP objectives, and raise awareness. These are key activities of the NNs, and the EU CAP Network is always eager to support them with a variety of tools.

The #ProudOfNetworking campaign is a collective effort of the NNs and the EU CAP Network's team working on CAP implementation to highlight networking activities and achievements. Together, we chose the activities to spotlight, and agreed on a timeline to maximise the visibility of the social media posts throughout the summer. This is a great chance for all CAP stakeholders to know more about the National CAP Network in their countries and around Europe, at a time of the year when we all need some inspiration in a 'lighter’ tone.
