Event poster Matchmaking Event for Living Labs in Danmark

Europe is facing significant soil health issues and the EU is investing 357 million DKK to find solutions.

Up to 70% of European soil, across various types of land use, is in a critically poor health condition. This is a challenge that affects us all and therefore the EU is now focusing on the problem.

The solution lies in Living Labs where local stakeholders collaborate to find solutions. The European Commission plans to establish 100 'Living Labs', and in September, there is a deadline to apply for approximately 90 million DKK for three transnational consortia with Living Labs.

This event is reaching out to those who work with soil health and challenges in areas such as agricultural land, forests and nature, urban soil and former industrial land.

Participants have a unique opportunity to collaborate on developing new knowledge, technologies or advisory services that produce transformative results. Participants will join a working community with other stakeholders actively seeking solutions to specific problems.

Participants are invited by Aarhus University to attend a meeting where it will provide more information about the EU's Soil Health Mission and in a Danish context, the concept of Living Labs and the opportunities for applying to establish a Living Lab.

Participants will gain the necessary knowledge to continue developing regional Living Labs, establishing cross-regional and transnational networks, and participating in capacity-building opportunities.

Interested participants can register on the virtual matchmaking platform where they can connect with potential international partners
