An event to support stakeholder collaboration around the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) by sharing practical experiences, discussing common challenges, and identifying opportunities to strengthen delivery and coherence across Member States.
Against the background of the first results of implementation of CAP Strategic Plans, this seminar will offer a space to assess progress mid-way through the CAP 2023-2027 period and to co-design future pathways that ensure the policy remains effective, inclusive, and forward-looking.
Participants will discuss a range of topics, including environmental and climate payments, climate change adaptation, competitiveness, advice and knowledge tools, digitalisation, and the processes and actors involved in the design and implementation of the CAP Strategic Plan.
Focusing on practical experiences, implementation challenges, and concrete opportunities for improvement, this full-day event will foster dialogue across diverse stakeholders to reflect on what works and what needs improvement to deliver on the CAP objectives.
Through both plenary and interactive sessions, the seminar will focus on:
- Assessing progress and challenges in the implementation of CAP Strategic Plans, explore best practices, success factors and obstacles encountered both in preparation and implementation phases, and identifying practical solutions to enhance delivery across Member States.
- Strengthening stakeholder ownership and collaboration, drawing on EU CAP Network experiences and engaging diverse actors to co-create more inclusive policy pathways.
- Identify opportunities for action, focusing on how existing tools and mechanisms can be better leveraged to enhance results and support inclusive and coherent implementation of CAP Strategic Plans.
The event will be held in English without interpretation.
