Non-accessible content

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the EU CAP Network website, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to fix. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for the EU CAP Network website:

  1. Moving Content (Carousel): The homepage contains an image carousel that rotates automatically. Currently, there is no visible mechanism to pause or stop this rotation, which may be difficult for users who need more time to read.
  2. Heading Hierarchy: On the homepage and some section pages, heading levels are skipped (e.g., jumping from Heading 2 to Heading 4). This may affect the logical structure for screen reader users.
  3. Navigation Landmarks: Some navigation elements (such as the language switcher and header utility) share the same generic "Navigation" role without unique labels. This causes screen readers to announce multiple "Navigation" regions that are hard to distinguish.

We plan to fix these issues by May 2026.
