About the EU CAP Network publications
The EU CAP Network publications are designed to disseminate the knowledge and information produced through our activities. Overall, the publications show how the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is implemented and evaluated in different Member States, what it has already achieved, and how it can be improved.
The publications in our library range from event reports to brochures collecting examples of good practices, from expert insights to case studies, analytical studies and guidelines. They connect with – and build upon – all the activities of the EU CAP Network, including Thematic Work (Thematic Groups, Focus Groups and Thematic Working Groups), events and the Good practice database.
Our publications target a wide audience of CAP stakeholders, including Managing Authorities for the CAP, National Networks, LEADER Local Action Groups, NGOs, advisors, evaluators, researchers, farmers and farm associations, foresters, EIP-AGRI Operational Groups, Horizon Europe projects, and innovation brokers.

Types of publications
Briefings
Briefing summarise key information from events (such as Thematic Groups) or discussions, often building on information shared by CAP stakeholders (for example via surveys or informal discussions).
BrowseBrochures
Thematic publications presenting inspiring projects supported by the CAP across Europe, showing how the policy and innovation support agriculture, forestry and rural development in practice.
BrowseCAP Evaluation Insights
Each publication has a specific thematic focus and provides a general overview of the evaluations collected among Member States, related to the selected topic, and an analysis of their findings.
BrowseCase studies
Case studies share successful approaches to policy implementation and provide support to replicate initiatives in other contexts.
BrowseEvent reports
Event reports summarise the highlights of EU CAP Network events and provide the key outcomes, as well as emerging recommendations or suggestions for future action.

Factsheets provide concise, easy-to-read summaries of key information, insights and practical takeaways on specific CAP-related topics and EU CAP Network activities.
BrowseGuidelines and Tools
Guidelines and Tools provide guidance to support CAP stakeholders in their monitoring and evaluation needs, providing examples of intervention logic, evaluations questions, factors of success.
BrowseMagazines
The EU CAP Network publishes two magazines: the EU CAP Network Magazine, which covers the full range of topics addressed by the Network, highlighting stories, initiatives and insights from across the CAP community; and the Agrinnovation Magazine, which focuses on EIP-AGRI, innovation, knowledge exchange and practical solutions for agriculture and rural areas.
BrowseMember States Evaluations
Member States conduct evaluations with the help of independent evaluators and research institutes. The database offers an overview of the evaluations identified, gathered and stored as best practice in evaluation covering assessments of the Rural Development Programmes (2014–2022) and CAP Strategic Plans (2023–2027).
BrowseMonitoring Data Summaries
These summaries, published every year, provide an overview of the state of play of the rural development policy, with the most up-to-date information on financial and output indicators, as well as information on the additional funds introduced from the European Recovery Instrument (EURI – included since 2021).
