1st meeting of the Thematic Group on CAP Strategic Plans: Towards Implementation

This was the first meeting of the Thematic Group on CAP Strategic Plans: Towards Implementation which provided an opportunity to explore various approaches to involving different stakeholders in CAP implementation; identify and share good practices and develop thinking on various ways to work with others on CAP implementation.

The adoption of partnership principles and multi-level governance are fundamental to the successful, inclusive, and effective programming, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the CAP. The Thematic Group (TG) provides an early opportunity to exchange on the key features, challenges and processes required to take the CSPs forward. The Thematic Group also provides an opportunity for members to consider the scope for an informal CSP exchange, with a view to identifying key topics and areas of common interest that could inform the work of the newly established Sub-Group on CAP Strategic Plans and be more widely shared in any future CSP stocktaking exercise.

Aims of the meeting:

Understand approaches to networking and engagement with stakeholders in CSP design.
Begin to identify and explore early models of implementation, including any key enabling and deterring factors.
