Highlights Report - 2nd meeting of the Thematic Group on Forest-Dominant Rural Areas & Municipalities
This report highlights the outcomes of the second meeting of the Thematic Group (TG) on Supporting the Needs of Forest-Dominant Rural Areas and Municipalities. The meeting took place online on 31 May 2023.
The second meeting of the TG discussed how working in partnership with multiple stakeholders can address the needs identified by rural stakeholders in forest-dominant rural areas; explored ways in which the CAP and other tools can help contribute to a balanced approach to achieving multi-functional forests; and discussed how TG members can benefit from continued networking.
This meeting built on the lessons learnt from the 1st meeting of the TG and good practice examples shared by TG members.
