The second meeting of the Thematic Group (TG) on Green Architecture: Designing Green Strategies gave TG members the opportunity to come up with recommendations for designing green strategies.

The facilitators of the two informal discussions on 'simplification and enhanced environmental ambition' and on 'innovative approaches and fostering cooperation' reported the key messages back to the TG.

The EU CAP Network provided a brief overview of the analytical work carried out in parallel to the TG, examining how eight MSs had programmed the interventions under the CAP’s green architecture.

Group discussions focused on (i) identifying the key elements that need to be in place for green strategies to be coherent and effective, and (ii) developing recommendations on how the ambition of green strategies could be improved, specifying the actions required.

In collaboration with TG members, the EU CAP Network is compiling a factsheet summarising in more detail lessons learnt and recommendations on the way forward for the design and implementation of CSP green strategies, including key findings of the analytical work conducted on the use of green architecture interventions in eight selected Member States (forthcoming).
