EIP-AGRI Focus Group on Protein Crops: Starting Paper

This is a starting paper of an EIP-AGRI Focus Group on Protein crops. The working area of the Focus Group is mainly focused on protein demand by and supply to the feed sector in the EU‐27 and the objective is to identify the most promising European protein sources (crops) and their roadmap to full development. The paper describes the main drivers in this dossier and will address the pros and cons of alternative protein crop sources from European origin.
