Activities

• Exercise of cooperation: on behalf of the other partners, RI.NOVA will manage the Operational Group by planning and implementing all the initiatives necessary to carry out the activity and achieve the expected results of the Project.

• Studies Action: no activity is planned for this action.

• Specific Actions linked to the implementation of the project: 3 specific implementation actions will be developed which will in turn include sub-activities:

3.1 Development of crop protection strategies with low environmental impact against the main adversities in horticulture:.

3.2 Development of alternative weed management strategies to chemical weed control in horticulture:

3.3 Evaluation of the economic and environmental sustainability of the innovative strategies proposed for weed management and implementation of activities aimed at social sustainability.

• Dissemination: 5 Technical Scientific Dissemination activities and 6 Communication and Dissemination activities will be developed.

• Training and Consultancy Activities: 1 training course of 18-hour will be implemented for 20 companies and 8-hour consultancy for 10 companies. Both will be aimed at training and transferring the results obtained from the project.

• Esercizio della cooperazione: su incarico degli altri partner, RI.NOVA si occuperà di gestire il Gruppo Operativo pianificando e mettendo in atto tutte le iniziative necessarie a realizzare l’attività e conseguire i risultati attesi del Progetto.

• Azione Studi: nessuna attività è prevista su questa azione.

• Azioni Specifiche legate alla realizzazione del progetto: verranno sviluppate 3 azioni di realizzazione specifiche che prevederanno a loro volta sotto-attività:

3.1 Messa a punto di strategie di difesa a basso impatto ambientale verso le principali avversità in orticoltura:

3.2 Messa a punto di strategie di gestione delle infestanti alternative al diserbo chimico in orticoltura:

3.3 Valutazione sulla sostenibilità economica ed ambientale delle strategie innovative proposte per la gestione delle infestanti e implementazione di attività finalizzate alla sostenibilità sociale.

• Divulgazione: verranno sviluppate 5 attività di Divulgazione Tecnico Scientifica e 6 attività di Comunicazione e Disseminazione

• Attività di Formazione e Consulenza: verrà implementato 1 corso di formazione da 18 h per 20 aziende e la consulenza di 8 h per 10 aziende. Entrambe saranno finalizzate alla formazione e trasferimento dei risultati ottenuti dal progetto.

1 Practice Abstracts

1. Data on the effectiveness of alternative or supplementary substances to direct crop protection with phytosanitary aids and validation of their inclusion in technical lines with low environmental impact in the direct crop protection of horticultural crops; identification of direct or agronomic crop protection techniques (biocidal green manures) alternatives to the use of 1-3 dichloropropene in the containment of root-knot nematodes; validation of the use of rootstocks and/or varieties resistant and tolerant to the pathologies being tested;

2. Identification, within the proposals of the mechanization and mulching materials market, of the most effective weeders and mulches in the management of weeds as an alternative to weeding and more adaptable to the peculiarities of fresh market and industrial horticultural companies;

3. Demonstration of how the proposed techniques relating to the use of weeders and mulches are sustainable from an economic point of view and compatible with the environment and increased sharing of the same.


1. Dati sull’efficacia di sostanze alternative o integrative alla difesa diretta con presidi fitosanitari e validazione del loro inserimento in linee tecniche a basso impatto ambientale nella difesa diretta delle colture orticole; individuazione di tecniche di difesa diretta o agronomiche (sovesci biocidi) alternative all’impiego dell’1-3 dicloropropene nel contenimento dei nematodi galligeni; validazione dell’impiego di portinnesti e/o varietà resistenti e tolleranti alle patologie oggetto di prova;

2. Individuazione, all’interno delle proposte del mercato della meccanizzazione e dei materiali pacciamanti, delle sarchiatrici e delle pacciamature più efficaci nella gestione delle infestanti in alternativa al diserbo e maggiormente adattabili alle peculiarità delle aziende orticole da mercato fresco e industria;

3. Dimostrazione di come le tecniche proposte inerenti all’impiego di sarchiatrici e pacciamature siano sostenibili da un punto di vista economico e compatibili con l’ambiente e accrescimento della condivisione delle stesse.
