Objectives
The project "The Soil Box" has the goal to transfer theoretically acquired knowledge in the field of soil science in the daily agricultural practice. This should be achieved with the help of a novel instrument for self-study. The Soil Box wants to combine well-proven know-how and new scientific findings. It offers subscribers working in agriculture and consulting the opportunity to obtain knowledge about the soil and its complex processes in an understandable and practice-relevant way.
Objectives
Das Projekt „Die Bodenbox“ hat das Ziel, theoretisch erworbenes Wissen im Bereich Bodenkunde in die tägliche landwirtschaftliche Praxis zu transferieren. Dies soll mit Hilfe eines neuartigen Instruments zum Selbststudium gelingen. Die Bodenbox will altbewährtes Know-how mit neuen wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen kombinieren. Sie bietet im Abonnement für Nutzer aus Landwirtschaft und Beratung die Möglichkeit, Kenntnisse über den Boden und dessen komplexe Vorgänge in verständlicher und praxisrelevanter Form zu erhalten.
Activities
The development of the tools for the individual boxes has been planned in close cooperation with experts in the field of agriculture, consulting and science. The practical tests and the further development take place by the farmers of the OG and with the extended network. The soil boxes will provide specific instructions to practitioners so that they are able to assess soil properties independently with the help of the necessary tools. Land managers and consultants should so be provided with comprehensive, didactically and technically sound tools for assessing current growth conditions.
Activities
Die Entwicklung der Tools für die einzelnen Boxen ist in enger Zusammenarbeit von Experten aus Praxis, Beratung und Wissenschaft geplant. Die Praxistests und die Weiterentwicklung finden durch die Landwirte der OG und mit dem erweiterten Netzwerk statt. Praktiker sollen durch die Bodenboxen konkret angeleitet werden, mit dem notwendigen Instrumentarium Bodeneigenschaften selbstständig einzuschätzen. Flächenbewirtschaftern und Beratern soll so ein umfassendes, didaktisch und fachlich schlüssiges Instrumentarium zur Beurteilung der aktuellen Wachstumsbedingungen an die Hand gegeben werden.
