1 Practice Abstracts

Due to climate change, droughts are becoming more frequent. The aim of the project is to improve the resilience of plants to drought and to gain practical experience. Silicon increases the soil's ability to store water and has a positive effect on nutrient availability and plant growth. The project will carry out small plot trials and investigate how silicon fertilisation affects yield stability and quality.

Durch den Klimawandel treten immer häufiger Dürreperioden auf. Ziel des Vorhabens ist daher, die Widerstandsfähigkeit der Pflanzen angesichts trockener Witterung zu verbessern sowie Praxiserfahrung zu sammeln. Silizium steigert die Fähigkeit des Bodens, Wasser zu speichern, und wirkt sich positiv auf die Verfügbarkeit von Nährstoffen und damit das Pflanzenwachstum aus. Das Vorhaben führt Kleinparzellenversuche durch und untersucht, wie sich die Siliziumdüngung auf die Ertragsstabilität und die -qualität auswirkt.
