Propagation of wild plants for the energy flowering mixtures on dry sites

Kontext
The project is based on the idea of affected farmers to develop new sources of income for the Rhön-Grabfeld district, which is affected by severe drought, by propagating seeds and processing wild plants locally.
Das Projekt basiert auf der Idee betroffener Landwirte, durch die Vermehrung von Saatgut und die Verarbeitung von Wildpflanzen vor Ort neue Einkommensquellen für den von großer Trockenheit betroffenen Landkreis Rhön-Grabfeld zu erschließen.
Objectives
The project aims to offer available seed mixtures at reasonable prices and with (regional) German origin. In addition, farmers are to be given access to these innovative (biogas) flower mixtures that make an important contribution to biodiversity and ecosystem services and are also epigenetically well adapted to drought due to propagation in a dry region. The seed mixture should be characterised by the compatibility of agricultural production, biodiversity and ecosystem services.
Objectives
Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, verfügbare Saatgutmischungen zu vernünftigen Preisen und mit (regionaler) deutscher Herkunft anzubieten. Darüber hinaus werden damit die Landwirte Zugang zu innovativen (Biogas-)Blütenmischungen erhalten, die einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Biodiversität und zu Ökosystemleistungen leisten und durch die Vermehrung in einer Trockenregion auch epigenetisch gut an die Trockenheit angepasst sind. Die Saatgutmischung soll sich durch die Vereinbarkeit von landwirtschaftlicher Produktion, biologischer Vielfalt und Ökosystemleistungen auszeichnen.
