Objectives
In the scope of the project, an alternative, antibiotic-free therapy against the pathogen of the claw disease Mortellaro (dermatitis digitalis) is to be developed and tested under pratical conditions by using the technology of cold atmospheric pressure plasmas. The aim of the project is to reduce or completely avoid the use of antbiotics and biocides in the therapy of Mortellaro disease in dairy cows under the premise of improving animal wefare by means of a plasma-based therpeutic process.
Objectives
Im Rahmen des Projektes soll durch die Verwendung der technologie der kalten Atmosphärendruck-Plasmen eine alternative, antibiotikafreie Therapie gegen den erreger der Klauenerkrankung Mortellaro (Dermatitis digitalis) entwickelt und unter Praxisbedingungen getestet werden. Ziel des Projektes ist es, durch ein plasmagestütztes Therapieverfahren den Antibiotika- und Biozideinsatz in der Therapie der Mortellaro-Krankheit bei Milchkühen, unter der Prämisse der Verbesserung des Tierwohls, zu verringern bzw. gänzlich zu vermeiden.
