Att bekämpa ogräs kräver idag mycket arbete eller bekämpningsmedel. Med en robot skulle man slippa det tidskrävande arbetet och slippa bespruta sin odling.
Objectives
The aim is to further develop and test a robot in the field that will be used for weeding. The technique exist today but needs to be tested out on the field to discover and test its limitations and to gather data. With this robot will manul labor and pesticides not have to be used, since this robot is supposed to be efficent enough for it to not be needed.

Målet är att vidareutveckla och fälttesta en robot för att bekämpa ogräs. Tekniken finns idag men roboten behöver testas ute på fält för att dess begränsningar ska kunna testas och för att man ska kunna samla in data. Med den här roboten ska man slippa använda manuell arbetskraft och bekämningsmedel, utan roboten ska vara så effektiv att det inte ska behövas.
Activities
Develop the robot and AI enough that it can be tested on big farming fields. Then will data be gathered and the robot will go on the market. At the moment is the robot adapted for onion farming but the plan is to investigate the possibility to use the robot on other types of harvest as well.

Utveckla roboten och AI tillräckligt mycket att den kan testas på stora fält. Sedan ska data samlas in och roboten börja säljas. Just nu riktar sig roboten till lökodlingar men man vill också underöka möjligheten att använda roboten på andra odlingar.

It is important to delineate the project into suitable sub-goals and iteratively approach these goals in a structured way. A close dialogue between the project's partners and stakeholders. A continuous and good follow-up for the time spent linked to activities is highly essential to reduce the administration in connection with the application for payment. Conduct a close dialogue with the Swedish Agency for Agriculture in cases where there are uncertainties about the implementation.
Det är viktigt att avgränsa projektet i lämpliga delmål och iterativt närma sig dessa mål på ett strukturerat sätt. En nära dialog mellan projektets partners och intressenter. En kontinuerlig och bra uppföljning av den tid som spenderats kopplad till aktiviteter är ytterst väsentlig för att minska administrationen i samband med ansökan om betalning. För en nära dialog med Jordbruksverket i fall där det finns osäkerheter kring genomförandet.
