Objectives

 Main objective: to develop short marketing channels for local food products, fresh or cooked, in order to get a fair price for producers and a good quality for consumers.

Activities

 The main activities of the project are to collect food productions from farms and sell them processed or fresh through a web site, package and deliver them to theconsumer's home.

Las principales actividades del proyecto son recoger los alimentos por las explotaciones, elaborarlos como comida preparada o como materia en fresco, venderlos a través de la plataforma web, envasarlos y ponerlos en los domicilios de los consumidores. 

Kontext

The original idea of the project is the needed of increasing the revenue of farmers in these areas. We want to contribute 
to it valuing good quality food products to all type of consumers. 
At the same time, good quality land is abandoned and not devoted to food production at this time. This abandonment 
contributes to the dissemination of fire summer by summer. 
The recovery of these abandoned lands to food production will help to the fight against fire and contributes to increasing 
the supply of high-quality food. 
The abandonment of land is caused, in part, by the lack of young farmers. The project will contribute to fix population, 
especially women and young people promoting good employment opportunities in rural areas. 
COVID-19 disease has put into question the origin of the food available to consumers in general. An increasing number of consumers demand local food and recognise its high quality. At the same time, they recognise the impact on the local economy, in the quality of life of the producer and on the environment. 
Finally, the European strategy "From Farm to Fork" and the "Green Deal" initiative has demonstrated the interest of institutions on the kind of strategies fostered by this project. 
Other European initiatives are the Ecological Action Plan ant the objective of converting the European Union in the first continent carbon neutral by 2050. 

Additional comments

It is important to note the enormous amount of administrative and bureaucratic burden needed to put into functioning the processing centers. In the other side, farmers confront as well, an important number of administrative records to start up diversify productions.

Additional information

The area of action of this project is a high mountain area with many difficulties in terms of the dispersion of the population, the depopulation of the area and the degree of abandonment of agricultural land. Road communications in the area are difficult and route times and distances between thepopulation centers are very high. On the other hand, it is a Biosphere Reserve area and there is also the Red Natura protection figure. We are facing an area of great ecological value, in which it is important to foster the conservation of biological and cultural diversity, as well as the economic and social development of people with and through Nature. They are areas of singular value, in which the integration of the human populations and activities with conservation must be favored primarily. Obviously, in order to carry out this mission, residents are needed in the area.
