Context

The original idea of the project is the needed of increasing the revenue of farmers in these areas. We want to contribute 
to it valuing good quality food products to all type of consumers. 
At the same time, good quality land is abandoned and not devoted to food production at this time. This abandonment 
contributes to the dissemination of fire summer by summer. 
The recovery of these abandoned lands to food production will help to the fight against fire and contributes to increasing 
the supply of high-quality food. 
The abandonment of land is caused, in part, by the lack of young farmers. The project will contribute to fix population, 
especially women and young people promoting good employment opportunities in rural areas. 
COVID-19 disease has put into question the origin of the food available to consumers in general. An increasing number of consumers demand local food and recognise its high quality. At the same time, they recognise the impact on the local economy, in the quality of life of the producer and on the environment. 
Finally, the European strategy "From Farm to Fork" and the "Green Deal" initiative has demonstrated the interest of institutions on the kind of strategies fostered by this project. 
Other European initiatives are the Ecological Action Plan ant the objective of converting the European Union in the first continent carbon neutral by 2050. 

Objectives

 Main objective: to develop short marketing channels for local food products, fresh or cooked, in order to get a fair price for producers and a good quality for consumers.

Activities

 The main activities of the project are to collect food productions from farms and sell them processed or fresh through a web site, package and deliver them to theconsumer's home.

Las principales actividades del proyecto son recoger los alimentos por las explotaciones, elaborarlos como comida preparada o como materia en fresco, venderlos a través de la plataforma web, envasarlos y ponerlos en los domicilios de los consumidores. 

Additional comments

It is important to note the enormous amount of administrative and bureaucratic burden needed to put into functioning the processing centers. In the other side, farmers confront as well, an important number of administrative records to start up diversify productions.

Additional information

The area of action of this project is a high mountain area with many difficulties in terms of the dispersion of the population, the depopulation of the area and the degree of abandonment of agricultural land. Road communications in the area are difficult and route times and distances between thepopulation centers are very high. On the other hand, it is a Biosphere Reserve area and there is also the Red Natura protection figure. We are facing an area of great ecological value, in which it is important to foster the conservation of biological and cultural diversity, as well as the economic and social development of people with and through Nature. They are areas of singular value, in which the integration of the human populations and activities with conservation must be favored primarily. Obviously, in order to carry out this mission, residents are needed in the area.

That all available producers are aware of the project and participate in it with their products

Que todos los productores del ámbito de actuación conozcan el proyecto y participen en él, poniendo sus productos al servicio de recogida.

Provide stable and weall paid quality jobs, preferably to 5 women or young people, who is responsible for the logistics centers and CTRs, which will favor their settlement in the territory. Indirect employment will be generated, such as agents for collecting farm production, on the farms themselves, for the start-up and operation of the marketing platform and for the distribution of the transformed product.

Proporcionar trabajo estable y de calidad preferentemente a 5 mujeres o jóvenes, que serán las responsables de los centros logísticos y los CTR, lo que favorecerá su asentamiento en el territorio. Se generará empleo indirecto, como los agentes para la recogida de las producciones de las granjas, en las propias granjas, para la puesta en marcha y funcionamiento de la plataforma de comercialización y para la distribución del producto transformado.

Joining the project of 35 producers of complementary products and their assessment

Recover the productive potential of 30 hectares. Preparation of a report that includes all the meetings and procedures, at the cadastral level (land registry), aid and advice on new productions to promote the new use of abandoned lands.

Recuperar el potencial productivo de 30 ha. Elaboración de informe en que se recogen todas las reuniones y gestiones, a nivel catastral, ayudas, asesoría en nuevas producciones para el fomento de puesta en producción de tierras abandonadas.

Launch 3 rural transformation centers (CTR) with a product logistics center and logistics development (in Cervantes, Fonsagrada and Ibias). 

Poner en marcha 3 centros de transformación rural (CTR) con centro logístico de productos y desarrollo logístico (Cervantes, Fonsagrada e Ibias). 

Link this project with other tourism development projects in the territory through gastronomic quality brands. Contribute to consolidating a “Rural Transformation Center” brand associated with the territory. Establishment of protocols for the use of brands that differentiate the gastronomic quality of the territory.

Contribuir a consolidar una marca de “Centro de transformación rural” asociada al territorio. Sales of €500,000, €1,000,000 and €1,500,000. Development and implementation of a sales platform. Carrying out a study of the impact of the advertising plans: accesses to the platform and on the number of sales and their amount. This study is the basis for developing strategies to boost sales.

Realización de estudio de impacto de la publicidad realizada tanto en el número de accesos a la plataforma como en el número de ventas y en el importe de las mismas. Este estudio es la base para la elaboración de estrategias para potenciar las ventas.
