La implementación de infraestructuras verdes en España es en sí misma novedosa, con ejemplos modélicos a nivel estatal como el Anillo Verde de Vitoria, el Plan de Protección de la Huerta Valenciana, el Parc Agrari del Llobregat o el trabajo que se está haciendo desde la Federación InterVegas para la protección de los suelos más fértiles y frágiles. Planteamos la propuesta de trabajo a escala regional con la intención de aportar luz a la deficiente planificación territorial existente en la Comunidad de Madrid, siendo las infraestructuras verdes, una de las herramientas de ordenación territorial más empleadas en la actualidad de las grandes metrópolis europeas que además les aporta un signo identitario diferenciador y de calidad de vida a la ciudadanía.

The implementation of green infrastructures in Spain is still an innovation, with good experiences at the national level such as the Green Belt of Vitoria, the Plan for the Protection of the Valencian Orchard, the Agrarian Park of Llobregat or the National Legislation Proposal for protection of the most fertile and fragile soils promoted by the Intervegas Federation. We attempt to improve the lack of land planning in the region of Madrid by proposing the green infrastructures for farming land in the south of the region. It is one of the most widely used territorial management tools of the great European metropolis that also brings an identity value to and quality of life for citizens.

Los resultados prácticos se engloban en tres grupos:
El proyecto desarrollará una herramienta de planificación innovadora e integradora de los espacios agrarios en la región Sur de Madrid (i), actualizando la cartografía existente y  facilitando su gestión y seguimiento (ii), estableciendo las necesidades y condiciones básicas para su factibilidad, e impulsará una Escuela Abierta de Paisaje Agrario (iii) con acciones de formación, acompañamiento y demostración poniendo en valor los cultivos locales y las prácticas tradicionales y realizará acciones de difusión, promoción de la actividad agraria a través del emprendimiento fijando población en el medio rural. En todo momento se involucrará a los actores implicados para la adopción de políticas locales, comarcales y regionales y el impulso de actividades económicas

The project will develop an innovative and integrative planning tool for protection of farming land (i) in the South region of Madrid, creating a socio ecological corridor of natural protected areas, farm land and agroecological initiatives in the South of Madrid. The project will update existing cartography to facilitate its management and monitoring (ii), establishing the basic needs and conditions for its feasibility. It will promote an Open School of Agrarian Landscape (iii) with actions of training, mentoring and demonstration putting into value the local culture and traditional practices. It will also carry out actions of awareness, promotion of the agrarian activity by young or women entrepreneurship that will allow fixing population in rural areas. Stakeholders involved will be encouraged to be actively promoting changes in legislation in order to adopt necessary changes at local and regional frameworks
