Idag efterfrågas det total spårbarhet av många konsumenter men det är inget som finns på marknaden idag. Det samlas in data av olika producenter men den delas inte med varandra eller försvinner på vägen. Detta gör att det inte finns ett helhetsperspektiv på produktionen idag, något som det här projektet vill ändra på.
Objectives
The aim is to develop a system that will produce premuim chicken. The system will be able to calculate the products climate footprint och deliver total traceability for the consumer. This system will be used by Bjärefågel but also other Swedish chicken producers. The system will deliver "Total traceability", digitize today analogous processes on the farm and in processing, simplify administration and government certification control, increase the opportunities for production planning and production control.

Målet är att skapa ett system som ska producera premiumkyckling. Systemet ska kunna beräkna produktens klimatavtryck och leverera total spårbarhet för konsumenter. Detta system kommer användas av Bjärefågel men också andra svenska kycklingproducenter.
Activities
The different stages of the production will be documented och shared with the different producers during the production. Every actor chooses what to share so no business secrets will be revealed for a competitor. The data will then be shared with the consumers by QR-codes. There will be research done on the whole process to see if it is possible to create an individual climate footprint for each product.

Datan ska sedan kunna delas med konsumenter genom QR-koder. Det forskas på processen för att se om det går att ta fram ett unikt värde för varje produkts klimatavtryck.

The system generates increased food safety, increased reliability and credibility, increased incentives to increase farm work with sustainability issues and welfare and the opportunity for "Storytelling" to end consumers. The blockchain provides new opportunities to convey data in a secure way with confidentiality in the areas that are needed, between all actors in the chain. The blockchain also provides the high reliability of the data needed to ensure its relevance in government and certification control, an area that the system also handles. The support is sought to be able to carry out the work of screening the farmers' and Bjärefågel's production processes and all the regulations and needs that control and influence production and produce a basis for the development of a system that includes all these factors,for the development of the software solution for the system, testing and implementation of the system at Bjärefågel and the farmers, as well as the research-related work and the calculation model around a product-unique climate index in real time. A landing page for the end consumer where you end up when you scan the chicken product's QR code, with hard and soft data, where the product's history is conveyed in a relevant and appealing way, will also be produced within the framework of the project. At the end of the project, the system will be ready for commercial launch, first and foremost with Bjärefågel and their producers, but also with other Swedish chicken producers who have an interest in communicating their added value and raising the status of their sustainability and traceability work, and increasing their opportunity to production planning and control over production processes through digitization.

1 Practice Abstracts
We have succeeded in creating a system that provides full traceability in chicken production, from rearing to the final consumer. We have been able to demonstrate that the system means a large time saving in terms of documentation and verification of the production. The system also provides an increased opportunity for production control. All these parameters can also contribute to give farmers and processors increased profitability. In addition to this, a safer production where errors and potential threats such as infections can be quickly detected and thus hopefully also ruled out at an early stage. The system can also easily capture and pass on the added value of a raw material or product from agriculture/farm all the way out to the end consumer. This is a big challenge for everyone who works with added value production, to be able to explain why one product is more expensive than another, which may seem equivalent, but without added value as high animal welfare and increased environmental/climate values. With the system, we have found a possible way to communicate this and thus also increase the consumer's understanding and interest in added value. Developing a software system takes time, an enormous amount of time. This in combination with agriculture/food production, which is so incredibly complex industry does not make matters easier. Therefore, take care properly, much more than you think, in both time and budget. By estimation, we ourselves have financed approximately as much of the development ourselves as we were granted funds from The Swedish Agency for Agriculture. However, we have received a very solid basic platform that we can not only use in chicken production but can build on and apply to the party other productions.
Vi har lyckats skapa ett system som erbjuder full spårbarhet inom kycklingproduktion, från uppfödning till slutkonsument. Vi har kunnat visa att systemet innebär en stor tidsbesparing när det gäller dokumentation och verifiering av produktionen. Systemet ger också en ökad möjlighet till produktionskontroll. Alla dessa parametrar kan också bidra till att ge bönder och bearbetare ökad lönsamhet. Utöver detta, en säkrare produktion där fel och potentiella hot som infektioner snabbt kan upptäckas och därmed förhoppningsvis också uteslutas i ett tidigt skede. Systemet kan också enkelt fånga och vidarebefordra mervärdet av en råvara eller produkt från jordbruket/gården hela vägen ut till slutkonsumenten. Detta är en stor utmaning för alla som arbetar med mervärdesproduktion, att kunna förklara varför en produkt är dyrare än en annan, som kan verka likvärdig, men utan mervärde som hög djurvälfärd och ökad miljö. Med systemet har vi funnit ett möjligt sätt att kommunicera detta och därmed också öka konsumentens förståelse och intresse för mervärde. Att utveckla ett mjukvarusystem tar tid, en enorm mängd tid. Detta i kombination med jordbruk/matproduktion, som är en så otroligt komplex industri, gör inte saker enklare. Därför, ta hand om det ordentligt, mycket mer än du tror, både i tid och budget. Enligt uppskattning har vi själva finansierat ungefär lika mycket av utvecklingen som vi beviljades medel från Jordbruksverket. Vi har dock fått en mycket solid grundplattform som vi inte bara kan använda i kycklingproduktionen utan även bygga på och tillämpa på andra produktioner. Den erfarenhet vi fått genom projektet tar vi med oss in i andra industrier.
