Objectives
The aim of the project is to develop and test innovative software for commercially available cell phones that supports the functions of effective animal health monitoring. The innovation in the project is to use the software to enable the recording and provision of health data, laboratory findings, sampling with test orders, laboratory results, individual herd-specific assessments and communication with the responsible veterinarian and laboratory, including appointments, directly on the animal.
Objectives
Ziel des Vorhabens ist die Entwicklung und Erprobung einer innovativen Software für handelsübliche Mobiltelefone, welche die Funktionen eines effektiven Tiergesundheitsmonitoring unterstützt. Die Innovation im Vorhaben besteht darin mit der Software direkt am Tier die Erfassung und Bereitstellung von Gesundheitsdaten, Laborbefunden, Probenentnahmen mit Untersuchungsaufträgen, Laborergebnissen, individueller herdenspezifischer Bewertungen und Kommunikation mit dem zuständigen Tierarzt und Labor inkl. Terminabsprachen zu ermöglichen.
Activities
The project includes content-related and technical steps for the development and testing of innovative software for commercially available cell phones. Using proven indicators, the impact of using the software on improving animal health in two Thuringian dairy herds will be evaluated.

Das Projekt beinhaltet inhaltliche und technische Schritte zur Entwicklung und Erprobung einer innovativen Software für handelsübliche Mobiltelefone. Unter Verwendung bewährter Kennzahlen soll der Einfluss der Verwendung der Software auf die Verbesserung der Tiergesundheit in zwei Thüringer Milchviehherden evaluiert werden.
