Objectives

The hemp plant is regarded as one of the oldest useful plants on earth. Despite the many possible uses of the individual plant parts, there are hardly any cultivation areas in Germany. This poses various challenges for the development of a value-added chain to the hemp plant. The OG has set itself the goal of establishing hemp cultivation in the Werra-Meißner district with as many value-added chains as possible. Here, both the partial processing of the hemp plant on site as well as the optimization of the cultivation +the breeding of plants adapted to the location are planned. In the long term it is planned to ensure the processing of the entire hemp plant into various products.

Objectives

Die Hanfpflanze gilt als eine der ältesten Nutzpflanzen der Erde. Trotz der vielen Verwendungsmöglichkeiten der einzelnen Pflanzenteile gibt es in Deutschland kaum Anbaugebiete. Dadurch ergeben sich verschiedene Herausforderungen für den Aufbau einer Wertschöpfungskette zur Hanfpflanze. Die OG hat sich als Ziel gesetzt, den Hanfanbau im Werra-Meißner-Kreis mit möglichst vielen Wertschöpfungsketten zu etablieren. Dabei ist sowohl die Teilverarbeitung der Hanfpflanze vor Ort vorgesehen, als auch die Optimierung des Anbaus +die Züchtung standortangepasster Pflanzen. Langfristig ist geplant die Verarbeitung der gesamten Hanfpflanze in vielfältige Produkte sicherzustellen.
