Public consultation on the EU’s climate target for 2040

What climate targets should the EU aim for to become climate-neutral by 2050?

The European Commission’s  Directorate-General for Climate Action is launching a public consultation on the EU’s intermediary climate target for 2040, setting a path from the already-agreed 2030 targets to net-zero emissions by 2050.

Creating a realistic future for EU citizens while setting these climate targets is crucial to achieve this goal. Your replies will be assessed by the European Commission and will be taken into consideration to shape the EU’s emission reduction.
