New video: Entrepreneurship in rural areas under RDP 2014-2020

The Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development undertakes activities aimed at the development of entrepreneurship (e.g. improving qualifications and access to the labour market, financial support) under the Rural Development Programme for 2014-2020 (RDP 2014-2020).

Since Poland entered the European Union, its rural residents have benefited from various forms of support under the various instruments of the Common Agricultural Policy. As part of the Rural Development Programme for 2014-2020, several measures were implemented to assist the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and to contribute directly or indirectly to the development of entrepreneurship in rural areas.

Some measures that have contributed to Poland's rural development include:

  • Bonuses for starting non-agricultural activities;
  • Development of services related to agriculture and forestry;
  • LEADER/Community-Led Local Development (CLLD);
  • Processing and marketing of agricultural products.

Thanks to these measures, rural residents could apply for funding and various forms of economic activity. They used the grants, for example, to purchase modern machinery and to adopt innovative techniques in agriculture. They were also able to develop ideas that have helped to open new business opportunities, create jobs and change the Polish countryside.

In the video below, you can see Polish projects that were funded by EAFRD funds.
