Grains open call for social economy SMEs in the agri-food sector

The GRAINS Financial Facility Program will support greening projects by 60 social economy SMEs in the agrifood sector (in the EU and Ukraine). The call closes on 30 April 2024.

The GRAINS Financial Facility Program will finance up to 60 social economy SMEs in implementing greening projects for their agri-food business.

The maximum amount the GRAINS project will grant per social economy SME in the agri-food sector shall not exceed EUR 8 175.00.

The call is open to agri-food businesses in Member States and Ukraine, until 30 April 2024.

The activities for which social economy SMEs may receive financial support are:

  • training (upskilling and reskilling);
  • consultancy and labelling for greening their operations;
  • tailored advisory services to develop local markets;
  • other elements necessary for greening their enterprises (eco certifications, eco packaging, digitalisation and technologies, etc.);
  • additional coaching and mentoring (specific coaching and mentoring services are already offered to social economy SMEs through other project activities).
