To celebrate ten years of (support for) social farming in the Czech Republic, the Working Committee of Social Agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture is organising an international conference to evaluate and decide on next steps.
The conference will include panel discussions with guests from the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Italy, Poland, and Slovakia. It will include representatives from the Czech authorities and from the European Commission.
Social agriculture started to be picked up in the Czech Republic about ten years ago, including a whole range of activities that tap into social inclusion, rural development, good agricultural practiceds, nature conservation, well-being and so on. The concept has, however, not received the attention it deserves.
Many networking and other events have been organised in the meantime, by the Association of Social Agriculture, schools and universities, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, regional institutions and organisations, to make the concept more widely known with the general public.
More details on the event and on registration possibilities are available on the event page (in Czech).
