The online ad-hoc expert group meeting on 15 May 2025 will contribute to the preparatory work of three new Focus Groups.
A call for national experts is now open.
For this year’s national expert group meeting, the following three Focus Group themes were selected for discussion:
- Theme 1: Forestry and forest health: addressing new and emerging pests and diseases and integrating non-native and unconventional tree species
- Theme 2: New innovative and sustainable ways to use wool and revitalise the European wool value chain
- Theme 3: Innovative on-farm energy production systems
The meeting includes a plenary session and three breakouts to discuss the specific Focus Group topics.
Apply to become a national expert
We are currently looking for experts that can provide input during the ad-hoc national expert group meeting on 15 May 2025, to prepare the call text of three upcoming Focus Groups.
To apply, please provide us with your CV, indicating the thematic area(s) from the above list that you are interested in. Your CV should show specific and concrete expertise in the thematic area(s) for which you are applying.
Submit your CV to adhocexpertmeeting@eucapnetwork.eu by 5 May 2025 (23:59 CET) at the latest.
Outcomes for each theme
- The background and major challenges that farmers, foresters and rural businesses are facing when it comes to adopting knowledge and innovation in their practices, and the aims of the Focus Group or networking event in contributing to knowledge and innovation exchange;
- A main question that the Focus Group should respond to in its activities;
- A set of main tasks planned for the Focus Group or networking event, including sharing best practices and success stories, identifying challenges, barriers and opportunities, research needs from practice, innovative ideas, etc.;
A draft concept note for each Focus Group or event on the selected theme that can be the basis for the future call for Focus Group experts or networking event activities.
