This report presents the findings of the EIP-AGRI Focus Group 'Recovery of abandoned agricultural lands'. The Focus Group experts discussed how to foster new, practical ways for better management of abandoned agricultural land in a sustainable way.
The report includes concept of agricultural land abandonment and the different types. It highlights challenges and opportunities, including examples of ongoing recovery initiatives. The Focus Group experts identified research needs from practice and propose ideas for Operational Groups and other innovative projects.
