Agrinnovation Magazine - Issue 11

The eleventh edition of the EU CAP Network’s annual Agrinnovation magazine highlights how robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies are transforming European agriculture, forestry and rural areas with new solutions.

Magazine - Digital tools and technologies for future-proof EU farming, forestry and rural areas

With a focus on innovation, knowledge exchange and EIP-AGRI, this edition of the Agrinnovation magazine features inspiring stories on how novel, digital tools and practices can successfully be applied, unlocking new opportunities for farmers, foresters and rural communities across the EU. Digital solutions can offer them smarter, more sustainable and more efficient ways to produce food, manage natural resources and face challenges, such as climate change and labour shortages. From AI-powered decision support tools to precision farming and automation, digitalisation is helping them enhance productivity, optimise resource use and reduce environmental impact.

This issue zooms in on innovative projects, successful collaborations and EIP-AGRI Operational Groups working in the field of digitalisation. It also explores the necessary skills for farmers and foresters to deal with new technologies and support lifelong learning. In addition, Agrinnovation gives a round-up of EU CAP Network Focus Groups, and touches upon the use of digital tools to support forest pest monitoring, precision irrigation, broadband for rural areas, pollinator health, open-source robotics for microfarms and much more.
