Activities
● The Healthy Pigs Chain Test Facility project involves the development of a mobile laboratory that analyzes on-site feed, water, manure, cleanliness and stable climate. The advantage over a 'fixed' laboratory is that the results are immediately available.
● Two sample stalls are first equipped with measuring equipment and then upgraded to test stables. Here third parties can also carry out tests.
● In the long run, an integral certification system will be introduced to show supermarkets and consumers that the meat is safe, the working conditions are good, and no nuisance is caused to those living in the immediate vicinity.
Activities
● In het project Testfaciliteit gezonde varkensketen wordt gewerkt aan de ontwikkeling van een mobiel laboratorium, dat op locatie voer, water, mest, reinheid en stalklimaat analyseert. Voordeel ten opzichte van een ‘vast’ laboratorium is dat de resultaten direct beschikbaar zijn.
● Twee voorbeeldstallen worden eerst ingericht met meetapparatuur en vervolgens opgewaardeerd tot proefstallen. Hier kunnen ook derden proeven uitvoeren.
● Op termijn komt er een integraal certificeringssysteem waarmee richting supermarkten en consumenten wordt aangetoond dat het vlees veilig is, de arbeidsomstandigheden goed zijn en voor de direct omwonenden geen overlast wordt veroorzaakt.
Kontext
De marktpositie van varkenshouders en de varkensvleesketens in een anonieme markt is zwak. Die kan worden versterkt als naar supermarkten en consumenten kan worden aangetoond dat een product onderscheidend en zelfs uniek is middels metingen en via certificaten.
