Specific objective: the development of software through the use of the blockchain technology group, which became of great interest as it offers three key elements in supply chains, and particularly in the wood supply chain, such as: security, decentralization, and scalability. In Result 2 of OE1, the hardware architecture that will host the software system is obviously necessary, although it will make intensive use of the tremendous advances made in distributed infrastructures, on-demand storage systems, cloud computing, etc., thus contributing to one of the key elements of the project idea: decentralization, which will provide security and performance. The following activities were carried out:

Based on the results obtained in the previous phase, performance and needs were identified, allowing us to determine the hardware requirements for the solution.
Analysis of hardware infrastructure models and justified selection of the final model: The goal was to have a deep understanding of the possible options for the hardware needed to deploy and later manage the system, ultimately arriving at a justified optimal model.
Analysis of the market’s technical offerings, feasibility study, and management: A review of the market’s offerings was conducted based on the final model, considering costs, service offerings, performance, etc.
Design of the technical solution for the hardware infrastructure: The optimal hardware infrastructure design was created for the developed software and its usage model.
Design of the software deployment plan: A plan was designed to guide the “installation” of the software system onto the hardware infrastructure.
