The Plan (https://prohopsmartchain.org/) has achieved the following results:
• Innovation in cultivation techniques for setting up hop plantations, in terms of planting layouts and the height of support structures, as well as the characterization of different cultivars with respect to vegetative and productive aspects (vigor and productivity);
• Qualitative characterization of the harvested product (cones), including comparisons with commercial products, in order to assess the effect of terroir and, specifically, the characteristics imparted by the soil of Emilia-Romagna to the hops;
• Identification and evaluation of hop cone ripening indices;
• Definition of high-quality hops in the Emilia region through fertilization tests;
• Improvement of regional biodiversity and genetic enhancement (which the OG will continue even after the two-year project period until the creation of a "varietal prototype") through the assessment of regional biodiversity;
• Implementation of new methods for genetic and health certification;
• Definition of new innovative and sustainable processes for drying;
• Development of organizational and management tools to create a fully digitalized supply chain.
Il Piano (https://prohopsmartchain.org/) ha permesso di ottenere i seguenti risultati:
• innovazione nelle tecniche di coltivazione per impostare gli impianti di luppoleto, in termini di sesti di impianto e di altezza delle strutture di sostegno, nonché la caratterizzazione delle diverse cultivar in relazione agli aspetti vegeto-produttivi (vigoria e produttività);
• caratterizzazione qualitativa del prodotto ottenuto (coni), anche in confronto con i prodotti commerciali, in modo da valutare l’effetto del terroir e, nello specifico, le caratteristiche che il suolo emiliano-romagnolo conferisce al luppolo;
• individuazione e valutazione degli indici di maturazione del cono di luppolo;
• definizione di un luppolo di alta qualità in ambiente emiliano attraverso la realizzazione di test di fertilizzazione;
• miglioramento della biodiversità regionale e miglioramento genetico (che il GOI continuerà anche allo scadere dei due anni di progetto fino alla creazione di un “prototipo varietale”) attraverso la valutazione della biodiversità regionale;
• implementazione di nuove modalità di certificazione genetico sanitaria;
• definizione di nuovi processi innovativi e sostenibili per l'essiccazione;
• messa a punto di supporti organizzativi e gestionali per realizzare una filiera completamente digitalizzata.
