IMPORTS FROM THIRD COUNTRIES

IMPORTACIONES PROCEDENTES DE PAÍSES TERCEROS

Some plants, plant products and other objects that enter the EU must have a phytosanitary certificate that guarantees that they have been duly inspected, that they are free of harmful quarantine organisms and non-quarantine regulated pests as established in the COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2019/2072. The competence body in import control is the Ministry of Agriculture of each country. The national phytosanitary protection authorities of the exporting country shall issue the certificates guaranteeing that the materials are free from quarantine pests and non-quarantine regulated pests of the European Union. Once in the EU, certain plants, plant products and other objects require a phytosanitary passport for their movement through the territory of the Union. The list is included in annex XIII and XIV of the aforementioned regulation.
Recommendation: Professional operators must be aware of and comply with import regulations to prevent the entry of harmful quarantine organisms and other harmful organisms. More information and links: https://www.prehlb.eu/legislation-factsheets/

Algunos vegetales, productos vegetales y otros objetos que entren en la UE deben contar con un certificado fitosanitario que garantice que han sido debidamente inspeccionados, que están libres de organismos nocivos de cuarentena y de las plagas reguladas no cuarentenarias establecidas en el REGLAMENTO DE EJECUCIÓN (UE) 2019/2072. Las competencias en el control de las importaciones son del Ministerio de Agricultura de cada país. Las autoridades nacionales de protección fitosanitaria del país exportador expedirán los certificados garantizando que están libres de las plagas cuarentenarias y de las plagas reguladas no cuarentenarias de la Unión Europea. Una vez en la UE, determinados vegetales, productos vegetales y otros objetos requieren de un pasaporte fitosanitario para su circulación por el territorio de la Unión. El listado se encuentra en el anexo XIII y XIV del citado reglamento.
