Context
Objectives
To develop and validate a computer tool that facilitates the gathering of data and decision-making for technicians and farmers linked to goat sector. To include the calculation of the carbon footprint at farm level in the tool. To establish a proposal for a goat price index, in line with the IPAMPA of the French Instituto del Elevage. To generate technical, economic and environmental indicators regarding to the Andalusian goat sector, which will make it possible to move towards a more sustainable production model. To dynamist the Goat Sector Reference Centre, managed by Cabrandalucía. To disclose both the tool and the results obtained, to the entire Andalusian goat sector.
Activities
To set up the new computer tool that includes the calculation of the Carbon Footprint and to develop this application at the user level; To use the computer tool for a year with a sample of breeders, which will allow its improvement and its validation; To design the website which include the useful information for the different users; To stablish a protocol so that Cabrandalucía, with the support of the University of Seville, can continue generating information and giving support to Andalusian goat farmers; To disclose the results obtained in the project, as well as the computer program and its mode of use.

1 Practice Abstracts
The general objective of this Operative Group, whose beneficiaries are Cabrandalucía, the University of Seville and Agri-Food Cooperatives of Andalusia, is to contribute to improving the sustainability of the Andalusian goat sector by providing useful tools for the adoption of strategic decisions related to technical-economic management and environmental impact of the goat farm. This general objective is broken down into the following specific objectives: To seek synergy between the management programs SOFCAPRI (developed by the US) and the current ERP (developed by Cabrandalucía), to broaden the scope of these. Develop a specific tool, based on the knowledge generated and the programs carried out to date, to provide technicians and ranchers with data collection and technical-economic and environmental analysis of goat activity, and to support the decision making process. of decisions. Incorporate into this tool the calculation of the carbon footprint at the exploitation level, taking into account both the emission and the carbon capture. Design an ERP web-app system in which all the information generated in the aforementioned programs is available, as well as the corresponding analysis (reports, documents, recommendations, etc.) in a format accessible to each level of established user: Cattlemen, Technicians, Administrations and Knowledge Society. Dynamize the Reference Center of the Caprine Sector, managed by Cabrandalucía, and in this way, have technical-economic and environmental information on the Andalusian goat sector. Based on the information collected, establish a first proposal of the goat price index, in line with what is the IPAMPA developed by the Instituto del Elevage in France.
