Support for information measures relating to the CAP for 2025
Submissions for proposals are open now for a new EU project grant: Support for information measures relating to the CAP for 2025. The call closes on 23 January 2025.
Submissions for proposals are open now for a new EU project grant: Support for information measures relating to the CAP for 2025. The general objective of the call is to raise awareness about the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in the EU, in particular amongst young people in urban areas, as well as farmers and other stakeholders active in rural areas and the agricultural sector.
It specifies that new approaches should be used to engage with young people and raise their awareness of the new CAP and the contribution that it makes in many areas, such as the climate change challenge, food, and healthy and high-quality eating as a lifestyle choice, in relation also to the EU School Scheme for Milk, Fruit and Vegetables, and the Tartu Call.
Stakeholders should be aware of the contribution that the CAP makes to support the social, environmental and economic sustainability of agriculture.
The European Commission co-finances projects to inform the public about the common agricultural policy (CAP). Projects can include TV features on agriculture and innovation, farm visits, information campaigns, audiovisual and media activities, and apps for smartphones and tablets.
Any person or legal entity such as associations or national authorities can participate in the call for proposals. European rules set out two aims for all information measures to explain and raise awareness of the EU support to agriculture and rural development through the CAP, to engage with farmers and other actors in rural areas, and for the latter groups to further communicate to their constituencies and the wider public about the CAP.
Prospective applicants can find provisions to assist with their proposal on the Funding Portal, including frequently asked questions and contact details for IT and other queries.
Please feel free to share this information with others in your networks. The call is open until 23 January 2025.
