Salt-affected soils can threaten the sustainability of farms. Read an article presenting a review of the current knowledge, scientific strategies and related case studies for the prevention, mitigation and adaptation to salt accumulation in soils at field scale. These include irrigation and drainage methods, crop rotation and management of soil organic matter. This paper was written by some of the members of the EIP-AGRI Focus Group on soil salinisation.
