    Summary

The project removed landmines from agricultural areas in Sisak-Moslavina County, the second largest area of suspected mines in Croatia. In total, it searched and demined 13.4 million m2 of agricultural land. Restoring agricultural land enables production to be sustained and prevents abandonment of agricultural holdings in war-affected areas.

    Results

Phase 1 demined 13.4 mil m2 of agricultural land, for a cost of 12.1 mil EUR.

Phase 2 demined 6.7 mil m2 of agricultural land, for a cost of 7.5 mil EUR.

Phase 3 will demine 1.8 mil m2 of agricultural land, for a cost of 2.3 mil EUR.
