Thematic Working Group of the Croatian National CAP Network "Women in Rural Areas" organised three Thematic Workshops on 12 June 2025 in Zagreb.

The Thematic Working Group of the Croatian National CAP Network entitled "Women in Rural Areas" organised three thematic workshops on 12 June 2025 in Zagreb.

The topic of the first workshop was: "Digital Literacy – How to Promote Your Product or Service on Social Media."

Navigating the digital world has long surpassed the realm of leisure and become a vital component of successful business operations. Social media platforms are now widely used for product placement, advertising, and communication. This requires not only digital competencies but also social skills, both of which must be continuously learned and developed. Enhancing digital literacy has a direct impact on both objective and subjective indicators of success. Therefore, making such educational opportunities widely accessible—especially to women in rural areas—is of great importance.

The second workshop addressed the theme: "Financial Literacy – Business Planning."

Developing financial literacy is essential for navigating the business environment and for starting one’s own enterprise or craft business. The core idea behind these workshop was to offer a session on various business-related topics—practical, applicable, and tailored to the real needs of women—especially those considering launching or expanding their business ventures, whether in agriculture or other fields.

The third workshop focused on the topic: "Mental Health – How to Prevent Burnout."

Mental health is an area that requires significant investment, particularly given the increasing and complex social challenges we face. Women are especially vulnerable to burnout, often due to the dual pressures of professional and family roles. Raising awareness about mental health and developing practical skills for its preservation is essential—and must occur before burnout happens, not after. These efforts are crucial for long-term well-being and resilience.

Participants had the opportunity to network during the workshops and expressed both satisfaction and a sense of empowerment across all three thematic areas.
