Children are often present on European farms, making their safety a critical consideration when developing farm safety guidelines and regulations. Irish data reveals that 10% of farm fatalities involve children, underscoring the need for both behavioural and policy changes.
This SafeHabitus webinar on keeping children safe on farms will focus on raising awareness about farm hazards, and the regulations and proactive practices needed to safeguard the safety of children on European farms. The webinar speakers will discuss a wide range of issues related to children's safety on farms, including:
- the issue of normalising danger within the farm family and persistent farm accidents.
